Want to go to Europe this fall or winter? Don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get there?

Icelandair is running an insane sale to Reykjavik and other European cities. Most of the deals are under $600, but many routes originating from the East Coast are around $300 round-trip. The under $300 deals are in basic economy which, if you don't check bags and can pack your stuff in a carry-on and a personal bag, is a pretty good deal. Tickets to check a bag are only $100 more. I searched for a few routes and came up with some pretty cheap deals.

Sample dates:
Newark – London, $288 round-trip, November dates
DC – Helsinki $296 round-trip, December dates
Boston – Reykjavik, $309 round-trip, November dates
DC – Oslo, $350 round-trip, October dates
DC – Munich, $396 round-trip, January 2019 dates
San Francisco – Amsterdam, $397 round-trip, December dates
Cleveland – Dublin, $397 round-trip, December dates
Dallas/Ft. Worth – Copenhagen, $399 round-trip, December dates

Of course, if you want to add in a free 24-hour stopover in Reykjavik Icelandair allows that option for travelers at no extra cost. You can hit the Blue Lagoon and explore the city center with ample time to spare.

Play around with the dates and departures and see what you come up with. But don't wait -- the sale ends Aug. 6.
